Cookstown notes Congratulations to Neil Thomas, son of Bill and Alwyn Thomas of Cookstown, who once again has been named top Financial Planner for the Ontario and Western Canada Region of the National Bank. Neil is the Financial Planner for the Orillia Office, where he and his wife Susan reside. *** On behalf of all Seniors, thank-yous and compliments to the congregation of St John's Anglican Church, Cookstown for serving the Senior Lunches on the third Thursday of each month. All enjoyed the delicious meal of turkey with all the trimmings, angel cake with sherbet, juices, tea and coffee and all that for only $5.00. The proceeds will go towards the purchase of the chair lift, which has been already ordered and soon will be installed on the steps leading down to the hall. At the end of April a fundraising Pancake Breakfast will be held. More about it closer to the date. *** Nice to report,that Brad Kiernan is at home, recovering well from a surgical procedure at the South Lake Health Centre in Newmarket. *** Speedy recovery and healing to Brad Kiernan, who underwent heart surgery last week. He is at home and doing well, Hope to see and hear you soon at the church organ and piano. Just be patient! *** The Bunnies are coming to the Cookstown Branch on Thursday, March 29 from 6- 7 p.m. All ages can enjoy this free event.
