Pitch in Day meeting tomorrow night
by Michelle Minnoch

Innisfil's Pitch In committee held their first meeting last month and the ball is starting to roll for Innisfil's 2007 Pitch in Day to be held on Saturday, May 5th.

The day starts at 9am, and residents are asked to sign up at their local fire station. At the station they will receive their gloves, garbage bags and guidelines for the day. At noon, there will be a free barbeque at the Churchill Community Centre for the participants.

Some of the schools have committed days for their pick up and other community groups have come on board. The committee is asking anyone representing a group, who has not signed up yet to contact Kim Creamer at the Town Office at (705) 436- 3710 or email her at pitch-in@innisfil.ca. They can also attend the next meeting, scheduled for Thursday, April 5th, in the council chambers. Any businesses who would like to make a contribution to the day are asked to contact Kim as well.

The committee is also asking those who have gloves and bags to donate for the day, to drop them off at the Town Office.
