Arrest made in convenience store theft On Wednesday December 6, 2006 a 23 year old female from Montreal Quebec along with seven other associates entered a convenience store on Yonge Street in the Town of Innisfil and committed a distraction theft. Together they pocketed over sixteen thousand dollars worth of cigarettes and over two thousand dollars in cash while they distracted an employee. As a result of an investigation by the South Simcoe Police Criminal Investigation Branch, the female was identified as a suspect. On March 27, 2007 she attended court in Kitchener to answer to other criminal charges. She was met there by South Simcoe Officers who arrested her and transported her back to Innisfil. She is facing a number of charges including: Theft Over $5,000, Conspiracy, Criminal Organization, and Breach of Recognizance. She was held for a bail hearing on March 28th. |
