by Richard Blanchard

A d j a l a - To s o r o n t i o residents should be careful driving to avoid accidents with deer.

Councillor Joy Webster said Monday night that there have been almost daily car accidents with deer around Everett during the past week.

"They seem to be occurring especially in the morning," said Webster.

She also said that approximately one out of 18 car accidents in Canada involve wildlife.

Township public works manager Eric Wargel said that the number is much higher in Adjala-Tosorontio.

"Over the past year township wide, it is closer to one in three according to the reports that we get from the police," he said.

Webster urged residents to use high beams during night driving and to be especially vigilant for deer
