Terrifying domestic on Algonquin Ave.

On Sunday April 8, at approximately 8:25 a.m. South Simcoe Police responded to a domestic call on Algonquin Ave in the Town of Innisfil.

Upon arriving at the residence, police found the wife with severe bruising to many parts of her body. Police learned that the commonlaw husband and the victim had been arguing over the last couple of days. One of the arguments escalated to the point where the common law husband slapped the victim causing her head to hit a wall.

The following day the husband again became enraged with the victim and he broke the phone in the residence threatening that he would kill the victim's family

if police were called. The husband then made the victim sleep on the floor and while on the floor the husband kicked the victim, eventually allowing the victim to come into her bed where she was repeatedly punched in the head.

The victim fearing for her safety complied with her husbands demands, and in the morning the victim was able to get one of her children to leave the residence and call police.

Police have charged a 45 year old Innisfil male with Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Utter Death Threats, and Mischief Under $5000.

The male is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
