Town of Innisfil completes 2007 budget process

On Wednesday April 4, 2007 the Council for the Corporation of the Town of Innisfil wrapped up its 2007 budget approvals by ratifying the adoption of the 2007 Tax Levy Operating Budget. The Town's approved 2007 Tax Levy of $12,660,677, combined with amounts required for Police, the County of Simcoe (including Waste Management) and Education purposes will result in an estimated increase to the average residential taxpayer of $135.41 or 5.06% over their 2006 taxes.

For 2007, the Town retains approximately 31% of the total property taxes levied as the remaining 69% is raised for Police, County and Education purposes as identified in the following pie chart.
