Monto Reno Hawks win York-Simcoe Championship

Congratulations to the Monto Reno Marina Major Novice "A" Winterhawks for winning the York- Simcoe championship.

After a 28-0 season, the Winterhawks went on to the OMHA playdowns.

With a bye in the first round, the Hawks met up with Bradford in the elimination round. The Winterhawks were victorious with three straight wins over the Bulldogs. In a tough quarter final round with TNT, the Winterhawks came out on the short end of a six point series with four of the five games going into overtime.

The Hawks then dropped back into the York- Simcoe playdowns. The Winterhawks took the extremely physical series over Beeton six points to one. With a strong team effort the Innisfil Winterhawks easily defeated the Nobleking Knights in three straight games to win the championship!
