Donna Orsatti wants to give YOU a chance of naming this seat photo by Michelle MinnochÊ

Hey kids!

Why are you looking forward to the new rec centre? If you could place a name on the seat for someone you love, or in someone's memory, who would it be and why?

That is your challenge.

Donna Orsatti, the recent winner of the Great Innisfil Chamber of Commerce Community Award, has purchased seven seats for the new Innisfil Recreational Complex and is donating the seats back to the community in the form of an essay competition for the youth in Town.

"I want to get the kids excited about the new rec centre," she said. "This is a great way for Innisfil children to become involved and win their name on an arena seat, becoming a part of Innisfil's history. It will be a lot of fun for both them and their families."

The competition runs from April 25th to May 23rd and is broken down into three grade groups; grades 3 - 4, grades 5 - 6, and grades 7- 8. There are five judges who are going to choosing the essays over a month long period, and the winners will have their photos and essays published in The Scope.

Your entries can be either emailed to arenaseats@hotmail.com, can be dropped of at your local branch of the Innisfil Public Library, or can be dropped off at The Scope drop box at the IGA in Stroud.

Make the essays as short or long as you like, just tell us why you want your name on an arena seat, or why you want to name the seat after someone you know, love and cherish.

Get involved, it's your rec centre - and you could have your name written all over it!
