Should be able to park RV on own property I want to add my voice to the leagues of others that are against the parking bylaw the town wants to impose regarding RV's and boats parked on our property. The property, I might add, that we pay huge taxes on, and in our case, get very little in return. Not to digress, but once again, the roads in our area of Big Bay Point are full of pot holes, and riding in your car is like taking a bumper car ride. I can assure you that nothing will be done, until, once again, several people call and complain. Then, there will be excuses as to why it hasn't been done and eventually thousands of taxpayer's dollars will be used to "patch" the mess on the roads until next time, when the process starts all over. Now to rub salt into the wound, they are proposing that we can't park our RV, on our property that we pay taxes on. Do we not live in a free country?? As I understand from my discussion about this proposed by law with Dan Davidson, the meeting date is scheduled for May 9th at 7:00 PM. As taxpayers, my husband and I will be there to voice our opposition to the implementation of this ridiculous proposal and we encourage other taxpayers to do the same. Where does it go from here, dictating to us which vegetables and flowers to grow in our gardens on our properties?? Next we'll need to buy a licence just to hold a family BBQ on Sundays, on our own properties. Sounds just about as ridiculous, doesn't it? Sincerely, P. McCloskey |
