CRIME OF THE WEEK Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka and the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the assistance of the public in helping to solve an Armed Robbery at the Dairy Queen Restaurant on Queen St. in Tottenham. On March 27, at 9:16 P.M. an unknown male walked up to the drive through and knocked on the window. When an employee attended, the male produced a handgun and grabbed the employee pointing the handgun at him and demanded money. The male suspect was wearing a mask similar to one seen in the movie "Scream", described as being white with black mesh eyes and mouth, with red colouring near the mouth area, appearing to be blood. The suspect is 6' - 6'5" tall, with medium build, a deep voice, and was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt with the hood up, and blue jeans. The gun is described as a silver handgun with a black handle. High miler slowed Essa Twp - On 14th of April 14th, an officer from the Nottawasaga OPP Traffic Unit slowed down a high miler on County Road 56 by stopping him when speeding between the 5th and 10th Sideroads around 4:30 p.m. that day. A 17-year-old male from Everett was charged for speeding 137 km/hr in a posted 80-km/hr zone. |
