Innisfil Winterhawks Novice A - 3 on 3 Champs

On Saturday, April 14/07 five members of the Innisfil Winterhawks Novice A team travelled to Essex, Ontario for the 6th Annual Bill Jones Sr. 3 on 3 Tournament. The boys were excited to have some fast paced hockey and swim in the pool at the hotel.

In the first game, the boys proved who was out to win. We played a team from Leamington, Ontario and won with a score of 16-2. The second game was just as fast and furious. However, Innisfil came out to win and that is exactly what we did with a score of 18-2.

The third game was quite a bit closer with a score of 10-6. Kameron Quinlan in net faced 8 penalty shots and stoned 6 of them. The Essex team we were playing got a bit agressive and the Innisfil boys showed just as much agression. With no contact in this tournament there were quite a few penalties.

On to the championship game against Essex. We knew from the previous game to be quick with the puck and to pass and shoot. With the excellent passing and scoring shots from the boys we aced the game with a final score of 17-2. Essex didn't know what hit them.

Innisfil Winterhawks showed Essex County why we were 28-0 this season. The fantastic team we brought to Essex included: Noah Leduc, Bo Steele, Lucas Chiodo, Andrew Burrow and netminder Kameron Quinlan. Coaching Staff included: Dan Quinlan, Garnet Leduc, Gabe Chiodo and Jeff Burrow.

Way to go Hawks. What a perfect way to end the season. Good luck in tryouts boys.
