Minesing Wetlands is a 15000 acre wetland complex that consists of marsh, swamp and fragile fen habitats. With RAMSAR designation it shares the same international significance as the Florida Everglades. Minesing Wetlands sits in the heart of Simcoe County. The areas surrounding the wetland have been designated as 'Places to Grow'. It's so important to make people aware of how significant and special Minesing Wetlands is. Not only because of its rare biodiversity but also because it plays a significant hydrologic role in our watershed in terms of filtering our drinking water and maintaining flood levels in the spring.

Minesing Wetlands' unique assemblage of marshes, swamps and fragile fen habitats supports a diverse network of sensitive flora and fauna, some being rare and endangered.
