The Good for Life, Active Family Challenge is returning to the Thornton Library during the month of May. The goal is to encourage families to spend more time together in a physical activity and then record these activities on a ballot. The ballots will be entered in a draw for some great prizes such as a shopping spree at Source for Sports or a yearlong family membership at any Simcoe-Muskoka YMCA. Any physical activity counts, going for a walk together; a family bike ride or joining a neighborly game of soccer, as long as you do it as a family.

The Thornton Branch will holds its walking club on Wednesday evenings in May starting today at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join in.
