Garden Girls Flower Shop opens in Thornton
by Cathie Miller
On Tuesday, May 1 The Garden Girls opened their newly expanded business at 203 Barrie Street, across from the Sunoco Station. When I stepped into the shop I was greeted by owner Susan Schill and behind the counter was floral designer, Mandy Agnew. Some of you may remember Mandy from her days as editor here at The Scope. Mandy was working on a beautiful floral arrangement that anyone would be happy to receive. The shop is filled with both fresh and silk arrangements and gifts items to suit any taste. They already had orders for three weddings and several floral arrangements and they were just open a couple hours. Aside from the new venture of the shop, The Garden Girls has been a thriving gardening business for the past six years. Susan has been running the business part time until expanding this year to include the shop. The Garden Girls help you take care of your gardens, they will come to your home or business to maintain your gardens and keep them beautiful. The Girls will weed, feed, plant, deadhead and prune, they can help you design a new look or maintain the one that you have. They can provide gardening services to everyone from seniors to busy home owners and property management companies. Visit The Garden Girls at 203 Barrie Street; call them at 458-3009; or soon at their website at www.thegardengirls .net

With Mother's Day arriving fast, The Garden Girls may just be the place to get Mom a special gift.
