Council reviews arena signage

      Council has agreed to extend the contract of Neil Rombough, who they obtained in 2004 for the purpose of selling advertising in the Lefroy and Stroud Arenas. Council has extended his contract to July 23, 2010, and Rombough will be selling the advertising in the arenas in the new Rec Centre.

      Essa council is moving to limit the number of cats per household to a maximum of three. Council learned Wednesday night that there have been a number of complaints about residents keeping too many cats that they can't properly care for.

Council looking at rate of speed on town roads

      Town staff has reviewed the Rate of Speed by-law, 055-94, and have determined a general review was needed. Under the Highway Traffic Act, Section 128, a council can designate a rate of speed for any highway that is under their jurisdiction.
