Council reviews arena signage
by Michelle Minnoch

Council has agreed to extend the contract of Neil Rombough, who they obtained in 2004 for the purpose of selling advertising in the Lefroy and Stroud Arenas. Council has extended his contract to July 23, 2010, and Rombough will be selling the advertising in the arenas in the new Rec Centre.

"He has done a great job with the advertising," remarked Mayor Brian Jackson.

Rombough's contract expires on July 21st of this year, and Staff Report CS-17-07 states he has "exceeded his sales projections."

In addition to staying on board with the town, Rombough has agreed to lower his compensation from 35% to 25%.

In 2006, the total sales for the arenas were $39,965.68 ($24,839 for Stroud Arena, $15,126.68 for Lefroy).

A majority of the agreements began on January 1, 2005 and have up to three year terms.

According to the Staff Report, the anticipated net sales for the arena signage from 2007 to 2010 are $180,000.
