Innisfil U12 Girls Rep Team takes 3rd place in Soccer Tourney

Innisfil U12 Girls Rep Team takes 3rd place for their U12 age division at West Niagara Invitational Soccer Tournament.

The U12 Innisfil Girls Rep Team coached by Donna Kastle and Kent Pollard truly shone at the May.12,13th event!

Innisfil, ON - May 14, 2007 - The U12 Innisfil Girls Rep Team, a first year rep team truly shone at the recent West Niagara Invitational Soccer tournament. Competing against teams from all across Ontario, the girls played 5 games in a 23 hour period, and took 16 penalty shots, completing the tournament in 3rd place for their age division.

Donna Kastle, coach of the girl's team said, "The team's hard work and effort really showed. This is a tremendous showing for a first year rep team. I have continually been impressed with this group of girl's heart and team work and I can't wait to see how they continue to progress throughout the season."

The U12 girls Rep Team, would like to thank their parents, coaches, trainer and most of all their sponsors: Acura of North Toronto, MacNamara Fuels, Amherst Concrete Pumping & Crane Ltd., Cindy Pollard of Century 21 B.J.Roth Ltd., Matt's Rentals, McKays Mechanical, North Country Property Maintenance, O.P.D.I Logistics, People's Credit Union and Rod's Esso for their support, without which we would not be able to compete in tournaments like the West Niagara Invitational.

Donna Kastle a parent of one of the girls on the team and a recognized community coach for a number of sports including basketball, soccer and volleyball -- took up the call and made this team a reality for our girls. In years past Donna, has been a regular coach of the Innisfil Soccer Clubs, houseleague and All- Stars teams. Made up of 18 girls, our team is led and managed by a group of parent volunteers.
