No more music from Angus clock tower Classic love songs will no longer be played by the Angus clock tower on a regular basis after a complaint from a local resident. Council agreed Wednesday night to end the practice where the songs were played by the tower every three hours. The clock tower will also not chime every 15 minutes during the daytime hours. Council agreed to the change after receiving a letter from a resident in a nearby apartment building who described the sounds coming from the clock as "annoying but a direct infringement on people's rights...For those who like it so much I say buy your own chiming clock or wear a watch if you need to know the time." Council approved a new schedule for the clock tower which will see the clock only chime every hour. The classic love songs will only be played once per day. |
