Wheels in Motion going to Barrie

Rick Hansen inspired Canadians to believe that anything is possible. Fuelled by the dream of a fully accessible and inclusive society and a cure for spinal cord injury, Rick wheeled over 40,000 kilometers through 34 countries to achieve what many thought was an impossible goal. Along the way, Rick touched countless lives around the world, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to pursue their dreams against all odds.

The legacy lives on

The spirit of this amazing journey continues with the 5th Annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion event, presented by Scotiabank, a chance for you to champion the hopes and dreams of people living with spinal cord injury in your own community - enhancing their lives today, while supporting tomorrow's cure.

Get involved. Make a difference.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, Wheels In Motion events will take place in communities across the country and we need your support. Here's how you can make a difference:

- join in our wheel/walk event with your family, friends, and colleagues. Register and raise pledges as a team or individual, either online or with the attached registration form

- join in our Father's Pancake Breakfast, from 8:00am to 10:00am before the walk begins.

- pledge a participant or make a donation either online, at any Barrie Scotiabank Branches.

The walk starts at Cenntennial Park in Barrie. The opening ceremonies begin at 9:45 am and the walk starts at 10am.
