RIA clears up mis-information Dear editor: It has come to my attention that some of the residents of "Big Bay Point" are unhappy about a letter that the firm of Kagan Shastri (who represent among others, the Residents of Innisfil Association ) sent to your newspaper. This letter was sent, originally, to the Premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, and to the Provincial Minister of Municipal affairs and Housing, John Gerretsen, to advance the position of their clients. A copy of that letter was given to, and printed by, your newspaper. It contained a small inaccuracy. Kagan Shastri do NOT represent the "residents of Big Bay Point". They do however, represent the residents of Innisfil, some of whom DO live in the Big Bay Point AREA. The word, 'area' was deleted from the letter as it appeared in the paper. This resulted in distress to SOME of the folks who live in Big Bay Point, and who are NOT members of the Residents of Innisfil Association. The Residents of Innisfil Association Inc. sincerely apologizes to those who were offended by being included as sharing our point of view. It is clear that they wish to be excluded. Yours truly, Nola Wale, President, Residents of Innisfil Association. |
