Stroud Library Branch recipient of Starbucks 'Gift of Words' Collection

The Stroud Branch of the Innisfil Public Library was the recipient of the Gift of Words Book Collection sponsored by Starbucks Coffee Canada.

The gift of $1500 was used to purchase new books, shelving, audio books and magazine subscriptions for the branch.

Stroud Library Branch Jayne Asselstine took some library volunteers with her to pick out the books, and process them. There are many new chapter books and other books that can help local children with their projects.

"We' ve applied for the grant a couple of times," she said. This year, the Stroud and Lakeshore Branches applied for the grant. A library branch can apply for the grant every year. Asselstine said the Stroud Branch was extremely lucky to receive the grant this year.
