Angus man arrested for domestic assault

Essa - On May 21 at 9:06 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP were called to a residence on Treetop St. in Angus in regards to a domestic disturbance.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a 50 year old male from Angus after receiving information that he pushed his wife to the ground during a heated argument.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of this assault.

The accused was taken in custody and subsequently released on a promise to appear in court at a later date, having been charged with assault.
