Be a face in the fight against cancer The Innisfil Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society needs volunteers. Their involvement enables the Canadian Cancer Society to fund cancer research, provide information, services and to support people living with cancer. Call: 436-1060 or 726-8032. The Canadian Mental Health Association of Barrie-Simcoe supports the development and continuance of self-help groups as a viable community resource for individuals experiencing difficulties. Self-Help groups can provide; support and understanding through difficult times; an opportunity to meet with others who have experienced similar difficulties; information and education; a safe and comfortable environment; suggestions regarding coping strategies that help to get through difficult times. MONDAYS Friends of the Innisfil Library, Stroud Branch, meetings are held the third Monday of every month at 7 p.m. Gilford and District Horticultural Society meets second Monday of the month from March to November at Churchill Community Centre at 7:30pm. St Paul's Anglican Church, located on the corner of Mapleview and Yonge Street, has two new youth and young adult programs. The Beta Classes will be held at the Innisfil Community Church starting January 9th at 1pm. Beta is a life changing program and the twelve week course will enable you to live free from fear, stress aniexty and the pain of past hurts and traumas. SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH Calling all ladies and girlfirends! The Innisfil Community Church Women's Connection invites you to the 3rd Annual Daisy Dejeuner to be held at noon at 1571 Innisfil Beach Road. This annual catered luncheon, intended to be a time of blessinf for all females, regardless of age. The speaker for this year is Peggy Kennedy, a well known international speaker and writer. This delicios summer hot lunch will be prepared by Casual catering and "black tie" service will be provided by the men of Innisfil Community Church. Tickets are available for $22 per person. St. Peter's Anglican Church is hosting their second annual Car and Trunk Sale at the Churchill Community Centre parking lot from 8am un til 4pm. Rent a space for $25 and book your spot to take advantage of the worthwhile experience. There will be an all day BBQ, silent auction and a bake sale table. Free admittence. The Lefroy United Church be holding their 10th Anniversary Sunday. The guest speaker is the Reverend Jan Aylward. There will be refreshments served after the service.

MADD Canada is hosting it's second annual 5km walk Strides for Change. Registration begins at 9:30am at the bottom of Mulcaster Street. The walk starts at 10am.

TUESDAY, JUNE 12TH The York Simcoe Naturalists Group will hold a general meeting at 7:30pm. SUNDAY, JUNE 17TH A Cemetary Service will be held at 10am at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Coulson's Hill. The ceremoney will be followed by refreshments.

Instructional Baseball Camp for young players at the Ivy Ball Diamond from 9am until 1pm. If you don't have a plan, then this is your chance to get all the information in one spot. SUNDAY, JUNE 24TH Innisfil Pipes and Drums are celebrating their 30th Anniversary with a Band Tattoo at the South Innisfil Community Centre. The show will feature 6 pipe bands, Alcona Highland Dancers, Alcona Cloggers and the OPP Chorus. The show runs from 1 - 3:30pm and tickets are available free at the door. TUESDAY, JUNE 26TH Pre-registration for Summer's Vacation Bible School will be held at St. Paul's Church, located at the corner of Mapleview and Yonge, between 4 and 7pm.
