PCU selects Young Leaders

Russell Kennedy, 15, and Denise Brown, 18, were chosen to take part in the People's Credit Union Co-operative Young Leaders (CYL) summer program.

The program is designed to develop future leaders, providing opportunities for the youth to learn about themselves and co-operation while having fun.

Through the innovative curriculum, the leaders are encouraged to strengthen their self confidence, solve problems, define personal goals and become an active member of the cooperative and the credit union sector.

The eight day camp includes various activities and guest speakers.

The applicants were chosen after a committee reviewed their application and conducted a formal interview. Selections of the leaders were based on demonstrated leadership skills and community involvement. Congratulations Russell and Denise!!
