Heads up for healthier brains

While currently there is nothing to indicate you can prevent Alzheimer's disease, a growing number of studies are showing there are things you can do to help reduce your risk.

For people with Alzheimer's disease, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is a key part of living with this illness.

Research indicates that there are things that individuals can do to enjoy the very best quality of life, while at the same time possibly helping to slow the progression of the disease.

Join us at the Alzheimer Society of Greater Simcoe County's Annual General Meeting and Alzheimer Symposium as featured speaker Dr. Geoff Daniel discusses the importance of keeping your brain healthy in relation to risk reduction, and addresses what can be done to help manage dementia for improved quality of life.

The meeting is Wednesday, June 20 at 1 p.m. The Alzheimer Symposium is at 2 p.m. at Rowntree Theatre (Building H, Room 106), Georgian College, Barrie.
