Sexual Assault/Mischief

On Wednesday June 6, at approximately 8:16 a.m. police were called to an Innisfil residence for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male had kicked in the front door to the residence after being unable to gain access. While investigating the mischief, the female also disclosed that her estranged common law husband had sexually assaulter her back in September 2006. A a result, a 35 year old Innisfil male was charged with Sexual Assault and Mischief to Property. He was held for a bail hearing on June 7, 2007.

Drive Under Suspension

On Wednesday June 6, at approximately 2:14 p.m. police stopped a Chevrolet Lumina on the 10th Side Road of Bradford West Gwillimbury for speeding. As a result of an investigation, the officer learned that the driver, a 43 year old female from Dundas, was an unlicensed and suspended driver. It was also discovered that her vehicle was not insured. She was subsequently charged with two counts of Drive Under Suspension, Drive No Licence, and Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway - No Insurance

Assault

On Thursday June 7, at approximately 12:15 a.m. police were called to a Bradford West Gwillimbury residence for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 32 year old Bradford male assaulted his girlfriend during a heated argument. As a result of an investigation, the male was arrested, charged with Assault, and held for a bail hearing later the same day.

Search Warrant Executed

On Thursday June 7, the South Simcoe Police Service along with the Huronia Combined Forces Drug Unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at an Innisfil address. As a result, a small indoor cannabis marihuana grow operation was located along with several other marihuana plants outside. Growing equipment and cannabis marihuana were seized. A male party from Elliott Lake and a male party from Innisfil have been charged with Production of Cannabis Marihuana and Possession of Cannabis Marihuana.

Total value of the seizure, approximately $150,000.00

Fail To Comply

On Thursday June 7, police arrested and charged a 16 year old male with Failing To Comply after receiving several reports that he had gone missing from his residence. Investigation revealed the male was out on bail with a condition that he reside at an residence in Innisfil. Over the past two weeks the male had run away from his residence on several occasions. He was held for a bail hearing on June 8th.

Uttering Threats

On Thursday June 7, the South Simcoe Police were called to an Innisfil address to investigate a threatening complaint. The female victim advised police that her ex boyfriend, a 16 year old male from Barrie, had been harassing her since they broke up several months earlier. On this date the boyfriend, along with another 17 year old male friend of his, called her residence and threatened to beat up her father and bomb his business. Police tracked down the suspects with the assistance of the Barrie Police. They were arrested and charged with Uttering Threats. The 16 year old male was also charged with Harassing Phone calls.

Personal Injury Collision

A 42-year Innisfil women is facing charges of Careless Driving following a three vehicle collision on Yonge Street near the 10th Line of Innisfil which occurred on Saturday June 9th, at approximately 10:30am. Police report that southbound traffic on Yonge Street was stopped at the 10th Line waiting for a red traffic light. The women did not notice that traffic had stopped and rear-ended the car in front of her causing it to strike a third vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle received minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
