Cyclist uninjured in hit and run

Essa Twp. - Nottawasaga OPP received a report of a hit and run that occurred on June 6th, at approximately 7:10 p.m. involving an elderly female and her husband out for a bike ride on County Road 56 in Essa.

The couple was heading southbound, when a white minivan or SUV came up from behind them and sideswiped the male on his bike. The passenger side mirror struck his elbow, causing him to almost fall.

After the hit, they observed a small 'after market' mirror that would have been affixed to the side mirror of the vehicle.

The vehicle was described as white minivan or SUV missing the passenger side small mirror and unfortunately no plate was obtained.
