Teen injured by pellet gun

Essa Twp. - Last Monday at approximately 7:15 p.m.. a 16-year-old male was shot at with a pellet gun from a motor vehicle on Corrie Cres. in Angus and sustained injuries to his right hand.

The 16 yr old male was skateboarding with a couple of 10 year old boys on Corrie Cres, when a mini-van being operated by a male teenager shot at him and then fled in the vehicle. The 16 year old sustained minor injuries to his right hand. A pellet was extracted from it. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Although several witnesses were in the area, the identity of the suspect and the mini-van are unknown. The suspect vehicle is described as a Pontiac Montana passenger van -two tones - green on top/beige on bottom. Witnesses said they observed a pellet rifle in the front console of the van used in this incident.

Suspect and driver of the vehicle is described to be "goth looking", 19 yrs, thin, tall, dark tight clothing and short dark hair. The vehicle also contained two female occupants, both with brown hair, one sporting a lip ring. The investigation is continuing.
