CHURCHILL NEWS
by Linda Gerow

Hi everyone! We're back from the Caribbean cruise and had a fabulous time. We were basically on a floating city (Mariner of the Seas) and to be honest, it was somewhat daunting. We're not used to being pampered or having a camera in our face everytime we turn around. What we did enjoy was meeting all the great folks from all over the world and spending a week away from work. Relaxing?? I'm not sure how to answer that one. Stopping at ports can be tiring and the heat was of the oppressive variety... naturally the shops were highly air conditioned as was the ship itself. I'm glad to be home and ready to get back into a more normal life. However, I did wonder why my coffee and my breakfast wasn't waiting for me at the buffet table. Ah, reality!

Smile: "Doctor," asked the lawyer, "before you performed the autopsy, did you check for pulse?" "No." "Did you check for blood pressure?" "No", replied the Doctor. "Did you check for breathing?" "No." "So, Doctor, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?" "No," replied the Doctor. "How can you be so sure?" "Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar." "But, tell me Doctor, could the patient have still been alive nevertheless?" "Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere."
