Be a face in the fight against cancer
The Innisfil Branch of the Canadian
Cancer Society needs volunteers. Their
involvement enables the Canadian
Cancer Society to fund cancer research,
provide information, services and to support
people living with cancer. Call: 436-

The Canadian Mental Health
Association of Barrie-Simcoe supports
the development and continuance of
self-help groups as a viable community
resource for individuals experiencing
difficulties. Self-Help groups can provide;
support and understanding through
difficult times; an opportunity to meet
with others who have experienced similar
difficulties; information and education;
a safe and comfortable environment;
suggestions regarding coping
strategies that help to get through difficult
times.

Stroud Presbyterian Church will be
hosting an all you can eat cold buffet st

St. John's Anglican Church in
Cookstown will be hosting its
Strawberry Supper at 4:30 and 7pm. The

Building.
THURSDAY, JUNE 21ST
St. Peter's Anglican Church will be
having a Starwberry Supper from 5-
7pm. Don't miss out on those delicious
berries. Tickets are $10. Everyone is

Painswick Horticulturtal Society will
have their meeting at St. Paul's Anglican
Church and the guest speaker is Lexi
Dearborn. Lexi is a Landscape Designer
and she will be speaking about "Colour

The Alzheimer Society of Greater
Simcoe County will be at The Spoke at
Sandycove Acres between 1 and 3pm.
Caring for someone with Alzheimer's or
a related dementia can be a challanging
yet rewarding journey. The Alzheimer
Society of Greater Simcoe County holds
a monthly caregiver support group meeting
where caregivers can discuss issues
and successes in a confidential and supportive

FRIDAY, JUNE 22ND
Strawberry Supper at Trinity United
Church will be held on Robert Street in
Thornton from 4 until 7pm. Adults are

SATURDAY, JUNE 23RD
The Lefroy United Church will be
holding an auction, the preview starts at
9am, the auction starts at 10am. There
will be many unique items and hidden
treasures.

Resident Emergency Awareness Plan
(REAP) will be presented by the Innisfil
Accessible Advisory Committee (IAAC)
at the Stroud Community Centre from 1
until 4pm. If you don't have a plan, then
this is your chance to get all the information
in one spot.
SUNDAY, JUNE 24TH
Innisfil Pipes and Drums are celebrating
their 30th Anniversary with a Band
Tattoo at the South Innisfil Community
Centre. The show will feature 6 pipe
bands, Alcona Highland Dancers,
Alcona Cloggers and the OPP Chorus.
The show runs from 1 - 3:30pm and tickets
are available free at the door.
TUESDAY, JUNE 26TH
Pre-registration for Summer's
Vacation Bible School will be held at
St. Paul's Church, located at the corner
of Mapleview and Yonge, between 4 and
7pm. Vacation Bible School will be held
from 9am until noon from August 20th -
24th. The cost per child is $10 or $25 per

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27TH
St. James United Church is hosting
their annual Strawberry Supper with two
sittings - 4:30 and 6pm. The cost is $12
for adults, $6 for children 12 and under.
You can pick up tickets mornings at the

(705) 431-7149. A variety of cold meats,
salads and strawberries (with or without
ice cream) will be served.
SATURDAY, JULY 7TH
The Second Annual Lobster Corn
Boil, a fundraiser for a local cheerleading
team, will be held between 1 and
9pm. Fun for the whole family, there will
be inflatables for the kids, lobster, corn,
burgers, hotdogs, pop, juice, water and

SATURDAY, JULY 14TH
A Garden Tour will be held, taking in
ten beautiful gardens in the Innisfil area.
The Friends of the Library (Stroud) and
the Painswick Horticultural Society
invite you to attend this fifth annual
event. The event takes places between
10am and 4pm rain or shine. Tickets are
only $10 per person and are available at
the Lakeshore and Stroud Libraries, or
by calling (705) 436-5292.
