Essa fire pumper doesn't attract much interest
by Richard Blanchard
Essa township won't be receiving much money on the sale of its 1993 half ton fire department truck.

Only two bids were received for the vehicle, which had extensive mileage and was in need of major repair work.

It was sold to Cochrane Mechanics for $827 in "as is" condition. The money raised will be used to the purchase of a new truck by the fire department.

Council also approved the sale of some other surplus equipment Wednesday night. It sold a 8 by 12 foot truck bed to R.W. Equipment for $160, a blue utility box with crane for $1,515 to HJV equipment and 1981 trackless sidewalk sweeper to Nad-core Environmental Shredding for $2,000.
