June is more than halfway through...time moves way too fast in the summer. We are now looking forward to our Canada Day celebrations, when we get to wave our flags and proclaim our pride in a great country. On October 27, 1982m July 1st which was known as "Dominion Day" became "Canada Day". Since 1985, Canada Day Committees are established in each province and territory to plan, organize and coordinate the Canada Day celebrations locally. Don't miss the Canada Day Parade taking place on June 30th, starting at Pine Street. See you there!

Auction: June 23rd the Lefroy United Church is holding an auction. The preview starts at 9 a.m., the auction starts at 10 a.m. There will be many unique items and hidden treasures. Don't miss out!

Innisfil Pipes and Drums are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a Band Tattoo at the South Innisfil Community Centre (Lefroy Arena) The show will feature 6 pipe bands, Alcona Highland Dancers, Alcona Cloggers and the OPP Chorus. The show runs from 1-3:30 p.m. and tickets are available free at the door. Come on out and help this great organization celebrate a very important milestone.

Lefroy Minor Hockey Association (Home of the Icebreakers) is holding a fund-raiser for the upcoming hockey season on Saturday, June 30th, 2007. Bring your clubs and friends and have a ball! Proceeds are going to help our kids, so make it a worthwhile day at Big Cedar Golf & Country Club with the shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., 18 holes & lunch for only $60. Mini putt, putting green & poker fun, hole in

one, longest drive and closest to pin prizes. Prizes, raffle table & 50/50 draw and fun scramble style golf.

Newfie Dinner/Dance: Mark those calendars for October 20th when there will be a Newfie Dinner/Dance at the Lefroy Arena. Doors open at 7, dinner at 7:30 p.m.
