South Simcoe Police Theft from Motor Vehicles - Bradford South Simcoe Police investigated several incidents of vehicles entered in residential driveways in Bradford between 11 June and 13 June. Stolen were compact DVD players, DVD's, CD's and money. In many instances vehicles were left unlocked. Residents should always lock their vehicles when parked in driveways and NEVER leave valuables in the their cars. Anyone with information regarding this occurrence is asked to call South Simcoe Police at 905-775-3311, Crimestoppers at 1-800-222- TIPS, or leave an anonymous tip at www.1800222tips.com Breach of Recognizance - Innisfil South Simcoe Police have arrested a 58 year old Innisfil for the 3rd time in 3 months for Breaching Conditions of his Release while on Bail. The male was found at an Alcona residence in breach of his residency and curfew requirements. Male was initially arrested in March 2007 on numerous Drug and Assault charges. Breach of Undertaking On Friday June 15, at approximately 1:30 a.m. an officer from the South Simcoe Police Service was patrolling a residential area in Gilford regarding a suspicious persons call. At this time he observed a male riding a bicycle in the vicinity and stopped him to investigate. Investigation revealed the male was on an undertaking for drug charges with a condition to maintain a curfew between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily. He was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and held for a bail hearing Trespass by Night /Mischief On Friday June 15, at approximately 2:50 a.m. police were called to an Innisfil residence for an unwanted female. Officers arrived and learned that a 22 year old female from Newmarket had attended without invitation to the residence of her ex boyfriend's new girlfriend. Officers cautioned her and sent her on her way. A short time later the female returned to the residence and attempted to gain entry through a window air conditioner. Police were called back to the residence and arrested the female. She was charged with Trespass by Night and Mischief to Property and held for bail. Assault On June 17 South Simcoe Police responded to a possible suicide attempt involving a 59 year old Innisfil female. Police determined that there had been an assault that had taken place earlier in the day and the female had been the victim. A 64 year old Innisfil male was arrested and charged with assault. The female was treated at hospital and released. Impaired Driving/ Possession of a Controlled Drug On Friday June 8, at approximately 1:10 a.m. a South Simcoe Police officer was on general patrol on the 10th Line of Bradford West Gwillimbury when he came upon a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Upon further inspection the officer located a male passed out behind the wheel of the vehicle. The officer awoke the male and arrested him for impaired driving. A further search of his vehicle located a quantity of cocaine and magic mushrooms. The driver, a 25 year old Bradford male, was transported to the station for breath tests. He was charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled substance. Warrant executed On Sunday June 10th at approx. 8:30 p.m. the South Simcoe police attended to York Regional Police Service in Vaughan to pick up a male who had an outstanding warrant since 2004 for Impaired driving and fail to appear in court. York Regional Police attended to a disturbance call in Vaughan and located the male with a few of his friends parting a little to loudly. Officers investigated the male in question and found that there was a warrant outstanding for his arrest in South Simcoe. Officers escorted the 37 year old male who now resides in York Region back to the South Simcoe Police station where he will attend court on Monday morning. Personal Injury Collision A 45-year old Innisfil cyclist was transported to Royal Victoria Hospital with minor head injuries after he disobeyed a stop sign on the 4th Line at Yonge Street on Saturday morning at approximately 10:00am. Police report the man entered into the intersection without stopping and was struck by a southbound car on Yonge Street. The investigation is continuing. Assault On Monday, June 11th, at approx. 8:00 p.m. the South Simcoe Police were contacted advising that two neighbours were fighting at a residence in Alcona in the Town of Innisfil. Police attended and spoke to witnesses advising that the two neighbours were arguing over property issues in which ended up turning into a fight. Police arrested both parties. The first male, a 36 year old Alcona man was arrested for Uttering death threats and assault. The second male a 45 year old Alcona man was also arrested for assault. Both individuals have a court date in July. |
