Peter and the Wolf
It was the consensus of Cookstown Central Public School's staff that this was the best play ever performed by Junior and Intermediate students on Friday, June 22nd.
They were referring to the play Peter and the Wolf, with music by Russian composer Prokofieff.
Performed to the recording of music and narrator, the cast moved in perfect harmony to the rhythm of the composition and with their actions gave a spelndid portrayel of their roles.
So let's salute and congratulate the cast: Rebecca - Peter, Daniel - the Wolf; Stefanie - the Bird; Olivia - the Cat; Nicole - the Duck; Alex - the Hunter; Tanner - the Grandfather; Will - the announcer and Valerie Dunne - the Director.
The play was staged by the school's Drama Club, and with the support from the staff made it such a success.
It would be great, if perhaps next year you could
perform it at other area schools.
