SCDSB to open Community Education Centre in Stroud This September, the Simcoe County District School Board will open a Community Education Centre to serve the Board's Central and South Region. Located at Sunnybrae Public School in Stroud, the satellite office will include work areas for two superintendents of education and central and regional support staff who work with school communities in this region. Community Education Centres are being established as part of the Board's community-based Family of Schools model of education planning and service delivery. "This community-based model of education delivery helps us to strengthen positive links with parents and communities and tailor student achievement supports to the needs of individual communities," explains Gord Campbell, Director of Education. Each family of schools is aligned with one of three regions in the Simcoe County District School Board. These regions are: North and East; Central and South; and South and West. Each region consists of two areas.
