South Simcoe Police recently put on a display of their police dogs at work for residents of Sandycove Acres in Innisfil. The event drew a large crowd of onlookers who were later served with a barbecue treat. Constable Joe Farrie displayed the expert training of his dog Garin while Constable Matt Tomlin also delighted the crowd with his dog Ronan. The event was put on by Heinz Sweck Head of Sandycove Transportation Committee, along with his many helpers. Police Chief Bruce Davis, Mayor Brian Jackson, deputy-mayor Gord Wauchope as well as representatives of the fire department and other police reps. made it a special day for the folks who looked on. submitted photo
