Walking path to be named after former resident

      Committee of the Whole approved naming the illuminated walking path at Belle Ewart Park after longtime resident Carol McPhearson. McPhearson was involved in revitalizing the park over many years, including taking the lead in the fundraising aspects of the project and in its development.

Essa moves on new township library

      Essa council has given its approval to the construction of a new library in Angus at a cost of almost $1.8 million. Council selected the least expensive of the three options Wednesday night which would see a new 10,000 square foot building built adjacent to the township arena.
