Walking path to be named after former resident

Committee of the Whole approved naming the illuminated walking path at Belle Ewart Park after longtime resident Carol McPhearson.

McPhearson was involved in revitalizing the park over many years, including taking the lead in the fundraising aspects of the project and in its development.

The staff report states that since the illuminated pathway has been fully completed, that portion of the park will be named in her honour.

There will be a plaque installed onsite, dedicating it to the memory of Carol McPhearson.
