Innisfil Professional Fire Fighters do what they do best...give back
by Michelle Minnoch

The Innisfil Professional Fire Fighters Association (IPFFA) donated money towards the Independent Living Residents of the Deaf Blind in Ontario - Innisfil Chapter, and have been working closely with this group since the beginning of this year.

There are currently three homes in Innisfil in which deaf-blind residents are living with supervision. The IPFFA are working closely with these residents, allowing them to visit and help out at the fire hall every Friday, and in other areas of the community. Innisfil's newest residents have an ongoing relationship with the IPFFA.

"Our Community Fund is a way for us to give back to the community," said Chad Paiero of the IPFFA.

He said in the past, money raised by the fire fighters have gone towards defibulators, wheel chairs, computers for the Innisfil Public Library, and much more.

The IPFFA got a boost this year from Royal Distributing, which raised $5200 during their silent auction and gave the money to the IPFFA.

"We were really pleased they decided to give us the money for out fund," said Paiero. photo by Diann Gaston
