CHURCHILL NEWS
by Linda Gerow

July 26th is All or Nothing Day. It's one of those non-official holidays but a good one to celebrate. All or Nothing Day - What's It About? You're probably wondering what All or Nothing Day is about. Have you ever heard that expression, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life?" This is the day to give something your all or don't even bother. It's the day to take a chance for once and do something you've always wanted to do but haven't. Even if it goes wrong or you end up failing- at least you tried! It's the day you live like it's your last. All or Nothing Day - How to Observe It So what are some of the things you should be giving your all? Take a minute and think about the things you would regret not doing if you were gone tomorrow. It's the day to say, "I love you", apologize or forgive an old friend and smile. Spend more time with your family, wear pink and practice like you've never practiced. Do something nice for someone, express yourself, don't deny your feelings and follow your heart. Today is all about you. Some things might hurt, like letting down your guard for the day but in the end it's worth it. Who knows what tomorrow brings. Most of all, enjoy the day.

Smile: Allan, a mechanic, was removing a cylinder head from a Harley-Davidson motorbike, when he spotted a worldfamous heart surgeon in his garage. The heart surgeon was waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike. Allan shouted across the garage, 'Hey Doc can I ask you a question?' The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to Allan. Allan straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, 'So Doc, look at this engine. I also can open hearts, take valves out, fix 'em, put in new parts and when I finish this will work just like a new one. So how come I work for a pittance and you get the really big money, when you and I are doing basically the same work?' The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over and whispered in Allan's ear, 'Try doing it with the engine running.'
