Theft of lawn tractor foiled!

Essa Twp. - Sunday at 3:15 a.m., a resident was awakened when he heard some noise from his driveway on River Dr. in Angus where a suspect was attempting to steal the resident's John Deere riding lawnmower valued at approximately $2,500.

The complainant had gotten up out of bed and looked out the front window. He observed a male pushing his lawn tractor out his driveway and west on River Dr. and yelled at the suspect who fled westbound on the same road.

The lawn tractor had been stored in a metal shed with sliding doors which is where the suspect had gained entry by kicking at them. The doors sustained obvious damage.

Found bicycle

Essa Twp - Friday around 10:14 p.m. Nottawasaga OPP was dispatched to Darren Dr. in Angus to where a bicycle was recovered.

The complainant found a boys red Carrera Shimano Catalyst bicycle, 21 speed, learning against their residence. It has a serial number on it as well.

The bicycle was transported to Nottawasaga OPP where it is being stored.
