Community Reinvestment Fund names recipients

The Community Reinvestment Fund has made their recommendations and three groups and one individual will be receiving a total of almost $24,000. "This is revenue from Georgian Downs at work in your community," remarked Mayor Brian Jackson.

The recipients include Innisfil Minor Hockey ($5,000), Lefroy Minor Hockey ($5,000), Innisfil Recreational Trails/Thornton-Cookstown Trans Canada Trail Association ($12,800) and Heather Kirk ($1,000), who will use the funds to assist in her research in her books entitled "Who were the Whiteoaks" and "Where was Jana?" The books chronicle Mazo de la Roche and the books were inspired by people and places in Innisfil.
