South Simcoe Police Breach of Bail Conditions South Simcoe Police arrested a 15 year old Innisfil male for the second time in three days for Breaching his Bail Conditions. The Young Offender had been arrested on July 28, 2007 for Breaching his bail conditions while on release for several Mischief and Assault offences involving 3 different police agencies. The Young Offender was held for a Bail Hearing and released on additional conditions at approximately 3 pm July 31. At approximately 6:30 pm July 31 the Young Offender was found consuming alcohol in breach of his 3 hour old Bail Conditions. Youth was held for another Bail Hearing on August 1. Theft Over $5000 South Simcoe Police are investigating the theft of logging skidder from a business in the Innisfil Industrial Park. The theft occurred overnight July 30- 31, 2007. Skidder is "Clark" Model 666 yellow in colour. Value of the theft is estimated to be approximately $15000. Update: Arrest in Business Break and Enter South Simcoe Police have arrested a 27 year old Bradford male in relation to a Break-in to a Holland Street East Plaza building that occurred at approximately 11 pm July 30. Male was arrested after investigation by South Simcoe Police Criminal Investigations Branch. As a result of the arrest police were able to link the accused male with at least 5 other business break-ins that occurred in the Bradford area during the past 2 months. Theft Under $5000 South Simcoe Police are investigating a theft which occurred at a marina in the Gilford area. Sometime overnight between July 31st and August 1st suspect(s) entered a boat and removed several items. The investigation is continuing in this matter. No further details are available at this time. Break, Enter and Theft South Simcoe Police are investigating a break and enter to a Bradford residence which took place sometime prior to August 1. The victim of the theft reports that several tools with a substantial value were taken during the break in. The break in occurred to the garage area of the residence. The investigation is continuing. Driving under influence, Possession, trying to escape custody South Simcoe Police were called to an Innisfil bar to investigate a possible impaired driver. The driver fled the scene in his car and returned a short time later and caused a disturbance by demanding service. The male was located a short time later staggering down the road. An officer arrested the male for being intoxicated in public and he promptly became violent with the officer and attempted to escape. The officer then subdued the male using a taser gun. The male was combative even after being restrained. He was found to be in possession of marihuana. A 41 year old Innisfil man now faces charges of driving while prohibited, escape custody, drug possession and numerous other charges. Possession/Possession for the Purpose - Controlled Drugs and Substances Act On August 3 South Simcoe Police investigated a 49 year old Lefroy woman and a 35 year old Innisfil woman who were seen leaving a known drug area. The vehicle being operated by the women was stopped and inside a quantity of crack cocaine was located. Both women were arrested at the scene. The 35 yr old female was released and the 49 yr old female was held for bail and further charged with breaching her probation. Impaired driving On August 4 at approx. 5:30 pm South Simcoe Police received a report of a possible impaired driver heading into the City of Barrie. A citizen was following the vehicle and reported the driving habits to police. The vehicle was stopped on Coxmill Rd in Barrie and the driver, a 54 year old Barrie male was arrested for impaired Care and Control of a motor vehicle. The accused was taken for a breathalyzer where his readings were over four times the legal limit. The male was lodged at the South Simcoe Police station until he was suitable for release. The party was charged with Impaired and over 80 and has a court date in Bradford. His licence was also suspended for 90 days. Break and Enter South Simcoe Police are investigating the theft of a laptop computer from a residence on Yonge St in the Town of Innisfil. On August 5, 2007 between 1:30p.m. and 10:30p.m. person(s) unknown entered a residence through an unlocked door and removed the computer from a living room table. There are no suspects at this time, and the computer taken was a Hewlet Packard laptop. Break and Enter Sometime between Friday August 3, and Monday August 6, person(s) unknown pried open a rear basement door to a residence on Grandview Cres in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Upon gaining entry, a home safe was pried open and an unknown quantity of cash was obtained. |
