Visit their website a t www.innisfilpipesanddrums. ca Sunday School: Lefroy United Church invites everyone to the first day of Sunday School on Sunday, Sept. 9th, with fun events for bids of all ages. Some of these include, horseback rides, fun with a parachute, woodworking, baby rabbits, family fun and good food. If weather permits, it will be held in the park. Newfoundland Dinner/- Dance: Mark your calendars for Oct. 20th, when there will be a Newfie Dinner/Dance at the South Simcoe Community Centre, formerly known as Lefroy Arena. Emmie has been working hard on the preparations and has told me that all tickets will be $15 which will be available in September. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and a buffet dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. Entertainment is live music along with Newfoundland skits during the desserts. There will be only one door prize....but a good one! The fun will end at 1 p.m. We advise that this is for adults only. Emmie is back from the 'rock' and the dance committee is meeting this week. Next week there will be updated information. On a personal note, I would like to thank our family and friends who attended the birthday party on August 18th at the Royal Canadian Legion in Belle Ewart, where we held a joint party for myself and our son, Steve, to celebrate two milestone birthdays. A very special thank you to Bob Wilkinson, who came out to sing some songs...everyone enjoyed your singing, Bob, and a thank you to Bill VanBerkel for his great job as DJ. Karaoke was a blast! |
