Gilford & Dist. Horticultural Society wins prizes and admiration at Horticultural Association Convention

The Ontario Horticulture Association Convention was held in Owen Sound the weekend of August 10th to 12th. Seventeen members of the Gilford and District Horticultural Society attended the fabulous jam packed weekend, which included special speakers, workshops and bus tours. Our local artist and member Kathryn Bury won seven prizes - fours first place finishes, two third place finishes, and one honourable mention for her charming entry in the Art Category. She also received the very prestigious Best in Show Award.

Billy Gill received third place for her poetry entry, Paul Smith received a third in photography, and the GDHS took a third place for their website.
