Investigation continuing in ATV accident

The South Simcoe Police were called to the scene of a All Terrain Vehicle - motor vehicle collision on the 7th Line of Innisfil just east of Yonge Street in the Town of Innisfil at approximately 4 p.m., on the 22 August 2007.

The lone vehicle driven by 19 year old male from Innisfil was travelling westbound on the 7th Line when he lost control of the quad 4 wheeler for an unknown reason. The vehicle rolled over and the driver was thrown into the north ditch. He was seriously injured and transported to hospital. He has been held for treatment of his injuries that could be considered life threatening.

The investigation continues and charges are pending under the Highway Traffic Act, including that driver was unlicenced.
