Innisfil Men's Soccer Club - League Cup Champions

On Sunday August 19th at Alliston's Nottawasaga Inn, the Innisfil Soccer ClubMen's Open Age Competitive Team, competing in the York Region Senior Soccer League, Division 1, defeated the Premier Division Leaders, Newmarket Athletics 1 - 0 in a well played League Cup Finals.

Outstanding efforts were made by all the players. Special mention to our goalkeeper, Ramtin Aghajan, who made many big, saves and to our captain Colin Patrick who scored the winning goal. The goal was set up perfectly by Justin Main and Adam Kuin on a brilliant set of passing. This victory marks the first time a Division 1 team has won this Cup since 1989. Well done lads!

The team had advanced to the Finals by defeating division rivals, Stouffville Spurs, then Premier teams Bradford Eagles and Orangeville Athletic.
