LEFROY/BELLE EWART NEWS Unfortunately I couldn't make the Lefroy street dance on Saturday, Sept. 1st but my friend Marie tells me that it was a blast. Last week we announced Emmie's phone number for the first time and her phone rang off the hook! People called wanting to reserve their tickets and as a result, Emmie was sold out before she knew it. She never expected this response for her first time attempt at organizing a "Newfie Dinner/Dance". For those who were able to reserve their tickets, mark your calendars for October 20th. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and a buffet Jigs dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. Good down home fun with Newfoundland skits during the desserts. There will be only one door prize....but a good one!!! The fun will end at 1 p.m. We advise that this is for adults only. Entertainment is Fred White & Brenden Gilliam "A Cape Bretener & Newfoundlander", who specialize in Irish/Country/Down East/Rock 'n Roll! The dinner/dance will be held at the South Simcoe Community Centre (Lefroy Arena).
