Assault

On Friday September 7, 2007 at approximately 9:25p.m. South Simcoe Police responded to a family dispute at a residence on Maplegrove Ave in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

As the argument became more heated, the father-inlaw pushed past his son and head butted his daughter-inlaw. The victim was transported by ambulance to Southlake Hospital and released after receiving treatment for a small bump to the head. Police have charged a 58 year old Bradford male with Assault.

The accused was released from custody with a court date of October 4, 2007 in Bradford Court.

Possession of Controlled Substance

On Saturday September 8, 2007 at approximately 5:05a.m. South Simcoe Police investigated a male walking in the area of Holland St and Barrie St in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury where police were earlier investigating flower planters and mail boxes being knocked over. The male was wanted on a warrant for failing to pay child support and he was subsequently arrested. Upon searching the male a quantity of marihuana and crack cocaine was located. The 39 year old male of no fixed address is charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and he is being held in custody pending a bail hearing later this date.

Take auto without owners consent, Breach conditions and drive disqualified

On the 8th of September 2007, at 6:00 PM the South Simcoe Police Service responded to a theft of vehicle call. Investigation found that a 29 year old Alcona man took his mothers vehicle without her consent while he was under a driving prohibition and a condition of a previous release not to drink alcohol. The accused fled the area prior to police arrival. An arrest warrant will be issued for the suspect.

Possession of a controlled substance and weapons dangerous

On the 9th of September 2007, at 11:30 PM a South Simcoe Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Innisfil on the 25th Sideroad.

The investigation resulted in a 40 year old Alcona woman being arrested for possession of crack cocaine and possession of weapons dangerous.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing as she had been previously released on similar charges.

Theft Over $5,000.00

The South Simcoe Police are investigating the theft of a pick up truck and trailer from an Innisfil business that occurred sometime in the early morning hours of September 10, 2007.

At this time entry was gained to the fenced compound on the property of the business and a vehicle and trailer were removed. Stolen was a red 2003 Ford F350 supercab pick up and a red 2006 Econ 824 car trailer.

Total value of the theft exceeded $40,000.00.

The pick up was recovered on September 11, 2007 in the City of Brampton, but the trailer was not and remains outstanding.

Assault

On Sunday September 9, 2007 police received a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the day at an Innisfil residence. A male party advised police that he was assaulted by a male acquaintance earlier in the day when he was at his house having drinks.

During the assault the victim sustained minor injuries.

Police have arrested and charged a 40 year old Innisfil male with Assault. He will appear in court in October to answer to the charge.

Breach of Recognizance

On Monday September 10, 2007 police were called to a Holland St. W. address in Bradford for a report of a female running across the road in obvious distress. Officers attended the area and located the female who was in the company of a male.

The two had been arguing and police learned this argument was an extension of one that they had at their residence earlier in the morning. Investigation revealed that the female was on bail for an earlier assault on the male.

One of her conditions was that she not communicate with the male. Police also discovered that she had been living with the male and his aunt since her release from jail three months earlier.

The female, age 16, was arrested and charged with two counts of Breach of Recognizance. She was held for a bail hearing later in the day.
