Aboriginal child care spaces

The County of Simcoe announced that the proposal submitted by the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC), the regional health and social planning agency for urban Aboriginal people in Simcoe County, for the development of new child care spaces in the County of Simcoe has been approved in part by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Fifty-eight new spaces will provide culturally appropriate, off-reserve child care programs for Aboriginal children in the communities of Barrie, Orillia and Midland.
